Happy New Year everybody. I feel 2019 is going to be an amazing year!
I hope you all had a fabulous New year’s Eve, with lots of good company, good food and fireworks.
After dropping my daughter and her boyfriend off in Eindhoven yesterday, we went on to my sister’s in Limburg and spend the night watching a movie and playing Catan.
It’s been I while since I played it, so I had no clue what I was doing and lost miserably, but that really didn’t matter much, it was all about the company.
Thsi year we didn’t have much fireworks of our own, but we did spend quite a while outside Ooh-ing and Aah-ing about all the fireworks around us. I really like this tradition of sending off the old year with a bang and welcoming the new one with champagne and fireworks.
It was 4:30 when we went to bed and of course we slept in today. Champagne will do that to you especially because I almost never drink alcohol…
Today is the last day I could write in my December Daily insert. It’s quite full and I love how it turned out.
I found one last pic that I made on Christmas day with my mom and forgot to use at that time, so I pasted it here. I think as the last page to fill in the insert, it turned out really cute.
Now all that’s left is to do a flip through of my chunky December daily insert and then file the insert away.
I’m really happy to have completed the entire insert and I think it got my creative juices flowing again. In this super busy month December it even helped me get and stay organized. I’m definitely doing it again next year.
For now I think maybe an early night might be a good thing 😉
