Just a quick WOYWW blogpost before I head over to work, showing you what was on my workdesk last night. Since joining the NaNoWriMo fun, I’ve been almost completely in book making mode, so of course yesterday I made another set of booklets. This time as a present for a friend of mine that was so kind as to read my raw draft and tell me if I am at all any good.
And when I say raw draft, I mean RAW, because there has been no editing going on and the manuscript is riddled with spelling mistakes and there are no annotations to mark the spoken lines, because those stop the flow of words rattling out of my fingers.
I made her a present to try and express my gratitude.
She’s a writer herself and writes wonderful SCI-FI stories and she has a lovely blog.
I thought, what does a writer need most when out and about, well besides a phone these days…
A little notebook, for jotting down random thoughts and awesome story ideas, of course…
So I made her a traveler’s notebook, with 2 inserts made by me with the templates, from my free templates page and one fieldnotes sized booklet I had purchased a while back and was just sitting in my closet.
Look at all the goodies I was sent.

have a good day at work. Looks like fun swap stuff. Peg #46
That's a wonderful gift you made your friend, Wilbear is green with envy. We love the swap idea, other people's stash is so much more exciting than your own.
Looks fantastic, your friend will be happy oer this great present. Valerie
you made a wonderful gift!
I love books and this looks fab and I'm sure it will be treasured.
Hope you have a good week too.
What a wonderful treasure you made for your friend. Happy mail is always fun, I often wonder what anyone would want to trade for from my stash too. But it is still fun.
Thanks for the visit this week.
That notebook is beautiful and I love the idea of swaps. Love your blog btw.

I love your books that you make, such care and detail, your friend is very lucky. What great stuff you received in the swap.
Prachtig en die kaart die je erbij gedaan hebt ziet er ook schitterend uit!
Sounds like you will be doing another swap again!
Great package you recieved
Wow, that notebook is just lovely..your reader will be really happy,
Wonderful paper art! Love your amazing book.
I love, love, love your book-making Monique, which has inspired me for some time now! I've heard of the novel writing project and once thought of doing it myself,as long, long ago I had some short stories published and almost got a children's book published. I imagine that your writing is really original and different if it's anything like your art, which I love. Thanks for the kind visit. Sorry I'm so late! Julie Ann xx #29
That is a stunning book you made. I love it. What a fun thing that swap sounds! Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #36xx
I'm sure your friend is going to treasure her gift. I just started reading “The Artist's Way” by Julia Cameron. Haven't started doing the morning pages yet – but I could see where stopping to correct or put punctuation would slow down the writing process!
Happy belated WOYWW
I love the notebook! It has already been put to good use, for blog ideas and even school notes 🙂
I get to read a great new story and get a notebook out of it… You won't hear me complain 🙂 Thanks!
what a wonderful present! and how lovely to get all those goodies in the mail!
What fun goodies….I so keep all the goodies I received from you on my shelf and was looking at them just the other day….Your books are beautiful Monique….such fun to see.
